In 2015 construction works carried out by construction companies stayed at the same level as a year ago and amounted to 2.67 billion EUR. 7309 companies were active in the sector at the beginning of 2016, 99.5 percent of them were SMEs. Construction sector accounts for about 7.6 % of GDP, employing around 93 thousand workers or 10 percent of total employment. In 2015 exports of construction services grew 38.3 percent while total exports of services grew 2.5 %. Exports of construction services amounted to 206 million EUR.
